No matter how good your website is, if it takes too long to load, you'll lose much of your target audience!  It's hard enough to draw people to your Web Site, so let's not lose them with slow loading pages!

There are certain things that can be done to make your pages load up faster.  This is commonly called Optimizing, and can easily be done to any web Project.  Some of this is tech talk, and includes:

• determining which File Format to use for each image on your web pages.  The common formats are .gif (max 256 colors) and .jpg (more colors using variable compression). Proper choice of image format is necessary.
• reducing File Size by increasing the compression of .jpg images or reducing the number of colors needed for a .gif image.  We'll find the settings for images to look professional & load quickly.
• using Java scripts on each page to Preload Images for upcoming links.  This stores the images in advance, speeding up load time!
• making sure each web page has Clean Coding!  HTML is full of tags that give instructions for font color, size, & style.  We always combine & remove redundant tags for faster loading!
• creating Custom CSS Styles to tell paragraphs or entire pages to use a certain font color, size, and style.  Instead of HTML tags giving repeated instructions, a CSS Style is only defined once, then applied to sections by a single name.
• using CSS Styles eliminates the repeated use of tags. It can greatly reduce the file size of your pages, and make it easier for search engines to find relevant keywords.
• linking to CSS Style Sheets is advisable when multiple CSS Styles are being used.  Instead of writing each Styles' definitions of on all of your Web Pages, they are written once to a single file on your website, then linked to each page.  *** Very trick ***
